The Newsroom really puts into perspective how great Sports Night and The West Wing are. Newsroom, on paper, seems like its got all the right things in place. but somehow manages to lack all the charms of the latter shows. Just continuously misses the mark. Sluggish and heavy-handed.

It’s what I expect a Sorkin show would be like if we were all stuck in the bad timeline from Community’s Remedial Chaos Theory

I went mainly for the comedy since Community is my shit but ended up diggin the music too. The show had some dope visual elements to it, the highlight of which was Reggie Watts beat boxing on the projector. Also the 3 piece (keys, violin, drums) band was dope and Glover’s R&B jams like this one are right up my alley. I ran into him on Pike St. before the show and snapped this photo-good dude.
